Drawing digital engagement from Lagos to London. Muri Okunola Park, already known as a go-to venue for urban events, was reimagined into a colorful world that lives up to its Wonderland theme—bold, surreal, and unapologetically feminine

Behind the Movement – The Vision of Femme Africa.

Femme Fest will not exist in isolation; it will be the result of a well-rooted mission that Femme Africa has nurtured since its founding. Created to counter the underrepresentation of African women in media, music, and business, the organization has built a loyal following by consistently creating platforms that put women at the center of the narrative. Founded by a collective of young Nigerian creatives, Femme Africa understands the importance of visibility. From digital storytelling to organizing live events, they have created spaces that enable women to thrive authentically. Their events have become known not just for entertainment, but for addressing issues that matter—such as mental health, entrepreneurship, gender equity, and creative freedom. Femme Fest, which began as a modest gathering, has evolved into one of the continent’s most anticipated femme-centered events. It’s not just a party it’s a soft protest wrapped in celebration. Each element of the event—from lineup to décor—is deliberated, layered, and meaningful. This year, the “Wonderland” theme was represented and not just a fantasy but possibility: A world where women design the rules. Sponsors and partners, many of whom are female-led startups and brands, also used the platform to showcase their support for gender-inclusive initiatives. The festival was prioritized collaboration, storytelling, and accessibility ensuring that women from all walks of life can find belonging within its spaces. Femme Africa was once again proven to be that when women build platforms for women, something revolutionary happens.

A Wonderland of Music – The Soundtrack of Femme Fest.

One of the most anticipated features of Femme Fest 2025 will be the music. Each year, Femme Africa curates a lineup that not only entertains but also reflects the depth and diversity of Africa’s musical talent. For the 2025 edition, the stage will feature a mix of headliners and emerging voices—all women or femme-identifying artists—bringing a sonic journey that spans genres and emotions.

The School of Femme – Knowledge as Empowerment.

More than a music event, Femme Fest 2025 doubled as a knowledge hub through its School of Femme program—a signature series of panel talks and workshops. These sessions will offer intimated conversations with leaders across fashion, wellness, tech, media, and creative business, designed to inspire and educate.

Vendor Village – A Marketplace of Innovation. A cornerstone of Femme Fest will be the Vendor Village—an open-air marketplace showcasing women-owned businesses across fashion, food, beauty, and wellness. This year, the vendor list will double, with curated booths selected not just for quality but for representation and storytelling.

Express Stations – Wellness, Beauty, and Self-Care. One of the most exciting new additions to Femme Fest 2025 is the Express Stations. These curated spaces will provided attendees with the opportunity to experience wellness, beauty, and self-care in all their forms. The goal is to provide festival-goers with moments of respite, connection, and rejuvenation that are fitting for an event celebrating the female spirit.

Fashion and Style – Empowering Expression Through Clothing. Fashion will play a pivotal role at Femme Fest 2025, with attendees encouraged to express their creativity through bold and imaginative outfits. The “Wonderland” theme will inspire everything from extravagant gowns to Afro-futuristic streetwear, blending fantasy and culture in ways that only African women can do. Designers from across the continent showcased their work, celebrating the diverse ways African women interpret style. Throughout the day, a series of runway shows took place, featuring both established and emerging designers. Each collection told a story—whether rooted in African heritage, modern aesthetics, or avant-garde experimentation. These shows were complemented by styling workshops and behind-the-scenes looks at the creation process, highlighting the skill, creativity, and vision of African designers.

A Legacy of Empowerment and Community Femme Fest 2025 by Femme Africa will be more than an event. It will be a cultural milestone—a legacy of empowerment, creativity, and community that will continue to inspire for years to come. This year’s edition, with its Wonderland theme, created a world where African women can be celebrated unapologetically, challenge the status quo, and forge new paths for future generations.
